It's Venus day ~ Let's talk self love.
This week, I want to share an exercise and a few ideas for easily incorporating the practice of gratitude into your life.

Heart Awareness Gratitude Exercise
Get quiet and ground yourself
close your eyes and focus on your breathing
Nice deep breathes that fill your belly and then release
Now focus on your heart.
Feel or imagine if you can’t feel it, your heart beating …. buh..bump…buh…bump…buh…bump.
Imagine how hard your heart works to pump oxygenated blood out to all your organs, tissues, every inch... all the way out to the tips of your toes, your fingertips.
Spend some time imagining and sitting with your heart as it beats. . . it works for you.
Can you feel a sense of gratitude for how much your heart does for you?
How it does its best to keep going, through all our emotional, physical, and mental gymnastics we put it through, it just keeps chugging along.
Sit in this feeling for as long as you can handle it.
Remember, you are loved.

Ideas for practicing gratitude
Start a journal and write 1, 2, 5, 10 things you are grateful for each day
Record your gratitudes on your phone each day and send yourself the recordings
Write sticky notes of things you are grateful for and put them on your mirror, your computer, your fridge, your lunch… you get the idea
Write on 365 slips of paper things to be grateful for in your life and then pull one for each day of the year
Go on a walking meditation and instead of calling anything by it’s name, look at it and say thank you. For example, a tree, thank you. A paper cup in the gutter, thank you. A person walking toward you, thank you. If you find yourself going into a story, say thank you and focus on your surroundings.
We'd love to hear from you, let us know if you use these or other practices and what you experience has been. Have an amazing day!
